When it comes to resetting passwords, the two most common scenarios involve a forgotten password or the need to simply provide a new password due to security concerns.
The first case can be handled relatively quickly by selecting the "Forgot your password?" link at the bottom of the log-in form on ROOM's landing page.
This will prompt a small form to emerge asking for your email address.
The second scenario requires that you sign in with your current password as usual, the navigate to the Settings page by clicking on the cog wheel icon on the persistent page links on the left of your screen.
Once you arrive, scroll down to the General section (just below the Picture Profile section) and click on the Edit button associated with your displayed email.
A small popup message will emerge, asking you for your registered email address. We'll use this to send you an email to securely compete the password update process. The next message will prompt you to open our message in your email box and click on the relevant link.
This is a sample of the email in question. If the "Change Password" button in the email doesn't work, you can copy and paste the text link provided into your browser.
After you respond by clicking the Change Password button:
For forgotten passwords, you'll be taken back to this page on the ROOM website, requesting that you enter a new password to replace the forgotten one.
After you hit the SAVE button, you'll see a short validation (success) message with a button to direct you back to the Landing page, where you can sign in using your new password.
If you changed your password at the Settings page, you'll get an email to validate your action that looks like this...
... and as such, will not require that you do anything else if you've indeed made the prescribed change yourself.
