As an invitee
If you are invited to someone else's meeting, you can simply join through your Google Chrome (or, if you have no Chrome available, Microsoft Edge works too) browser without an account. There's nothing to download or install, nor do you need to register. The only action you need to take is to click on the meeting invitation link that the meeting organizer sent you (via email, text app, etc.) to join the meeting. Alternatively, you can copy the invitation link into your browser's address field.
The link will take you the ROOM website, displaying this panel (below) requesting a user name that ROOM can use as your "virtual name tag" during the meeting, and providing a chance to select your camera and microphone before entering (in case you have more than one of each device).
You are not obligated to enter your real name, but a name of some kind is recommended, otherwise your in-meeting personal cutout will automatically be assigned a "Guest" designation.
Afterwards, you'll find yourself in your first meeting, as a guest with access to all the features and tools to explore, share and collaborate to your heart's content!
As a host
If you'd like to create/host your own meetings, you need to have a registered account. At this moment, you are not able to directly sign up for ROOM through the website as it is currently an invitation-only product. If you would like to apply for an account for you and your team, reach out to us at info@room3d.com.
As a host you can create instant "ad hoc" meetings through ROOM's Dashboard page, after selecting one of many types of room venues...

A host can also invite more guests without having to leave the room, and send them out via Gmail, Facebook, the default email client or by copying and pasting into a favorite text app, etc.
ROOM works on the following browsers on a PC or Mac, Android, iPhone and iPad.
These are the minimum and recommended specs for all users (account holders and invitees):
- PC: Google Chrome version 100 or Microsoft Edge version 100 (the latest version of Chrome is recommended)
- MacOS X: Google Chrome version 100 (the latest version of Chrome is recommended)
- Android: Google Chrome version 100 or Microsoft Edge version 100 (the latest version of Chrome is recommended)
- iOS: Google Chrome version 100 (the latest version of Chrome is recommended)
For the most optimal experience possible, it is recommendation that you have a Full HD+ camera.
Also, in the interest of supporting the best user experience, we recommend that you should not have VPN or a Proxy server turned on.
