Room offers a convenient way to access our video conferencing platform other than browser: as an Outlook add-in.
If your organization uses Microsoft Outlook, you can access Room directly from within Outlook. Room will be installed by your IT department.
Follow the steps below to schedule a meeting with Room:
Desktop/Laptop:
- Navigate to your Calendar in the Outlook app.
- Click the New Event button.
- Find the Room icon in the upper menu bar.
- For fast scheduling, select Add Preselected Room. Your unique Room link will appear in your new event window.
- Fill in the rest of the fields as usual and click Send.
If you want to schedule your meeting in a different Room than the preselected one, you can choose Set up a Room meeting in step 4.
If you want to change your preselected Room, you can navigate to the Settings menu from the same place. A menu will pop up on the side of the screen. Click Edit Selection, choose the Room you prefer, and click Select. The page will refresh, and your new Room will appear at the top of the screen. You can also logout from your Room account using Settings menu.
Mobile Devices:
- Navigate to your Calendar in the Outlook app.
- Click the New Event button.
- Toggle on Room. Your unique Room link will be added to your new event window.
