Please refer to the checklists below to ensure that you're ready.
TECH CHECKLIST
If you use Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Safari as your standard browser already, simply click on the
invitation link shared/sent to you by the meeting's organizer. If not, you'll need to download Chrome, Edge or Safari to access the ROOM.
ROOM works on the following browsers on a PC or Mac, Android, iPhone and iPad.
These are the minimum and recommended specs for all users (account holders and invitees):
- PC: Google Chrome version 100 or Microsoft Edge version 100 (recommended: Google Chrome latest version)
- MacOS X: Google Chrome version 100 (the latest version is recommended)
- Android: Google Chrome version 100 (the latest version is recommended)
- iOS: Google Chrome version 100 (the latest version is recommended)
Room3D is designed to use most desktop's peripheral cameras and microphones, as well as most laptop's built-in cameras/speakers.
- For the most optimal experience it is recommendation that you have a Full HD+ camera.
- Also, in the interest of supporting the best user experience, we recommend that if possible, you should not have a VPN or a Proxy server turned on.
ACCESS CHECKLIST
You will need an account if you wish to create meetings and invite others to your room venue. At this time, you cannot directly register a new Room account. If you would like to have a Room account for you and your team, please contact us at info@room3d.com.
If you are invited to someone else's room venue, you can simply join through your supported browser (see above for the list of supported browsers) without an account. There's nothing to download or install.
ENTERING AS AN INVITEE (no subscription)
If you have received an invitation to a ROOM meeting, once you click on the invitation link, you'll be taken to the ROOM website's meeting loading page (not the website's landing page) displaying the panel below, requesting a user name that ROOM can use as your "virtual name tag" during the meeting. You'll also have a chance to select your camera and microphone before entering (in case you have more than one of each camera or mic "device").
You are not obligated to enter your real name, but a name of some kind is recommended, otherwise your in-meeting personal cutout will automatically be assigned a designation such as "Guest-X".
